Lisa Bloor is a certified karate coach with 14 years of training and instructing experience. She has taught classes for Yushikai karate Academy in England, which is one of the largest dedicated karate clubs in the UK and has also taught many private 1 to 1 lessons, helping students to prepare for grading as well. She currently holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt with the Japan Karate Association.
Lisa began her karate journey in 2007 with her daughter, then aged 7, training alongside each other and has achieved much since. She has won a gold medal in both the 2016 and 2018 JKA England National Championships as well as taking 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in previous years. She has also had Regional success winning a silver medal in 2011 and a gold medal in 2013.
Lisa credits much of her success to the instructors she has trained with, particularly Sensei Dave Paulus 5th Dan and Chief Instructor of the above mentioned Yushikai karate Academy and Ohta Sensei, Chief Instructor of JKA England, under whose watchful eye she has attempted and passed all of her gradings to date.
She has consistently trained, taught and attended National and International courses right up to February 2020 when she relocated to France.
